Testimonials - photo tours
“Anyone booking a tour with Wild Echo will be impressed with the knowledge and attitude of their tour guides if my experience is anything to go by. I have now done two different tours and have been very happy with the service received.“
"I had a very enjoyable trip, I got some really good shots of bee-eaters and rollers, and I would definitely consider doing another tour with Wild Echo. "

Bulgaria is a bird rich country and with Wildl Echos hides and local knowledge a great one to photograph bird in. I have been to most Eastern European countries, but Bulgaria is the only one I have been back to many times. For Wallcreeper and Red-breasted geese photography it is
exceptional.

For the wildlife photographer it is very important to find comfortable and above all very well camouflaged hide, perfectly situated allowing taking photos of birds with a nice background and on natural perches.
All this is possible thanks to the great Wild Echo professional work done by Dobry, preceded by years of studying of situations, places and animals. All photographers, even the most demanding, will be satisfied by the tours organization, the tour leaders and the kindness of local people you meet in places where you accommodate and have food.

"Emil and Dobry never give up! Placing hides in the dead of night, tracking down the Red-breast flocks and seeking the best places for photography meant we were in the best hands when it came to photographing one of europes shyest but most beautiful of birds.
Unrivalled knowledge and a determination that we would not fail, mixed with great humour and comaraderie made it not only a great weeks photography, but one to remember for plenty of laughs"

Wild Echo looked after us from the moment we arrived in Bulgaria to the minute we left. Emil and Dobry had already located some prime sites for photography and they made sure we were there in the best light. One “water spot” as they called it, which was in fact an overflowing cattle trough, produced 12 species in a morning including Red-rumped Swallow, Red Backed Shrike, Hawfinch, Ortolan and Black Headed and lots of Corn Buntings. Their Golden Eagle feeding site also warrants a special mention for its accesability, reliability and “wow” factor. All in all we can thoroughly recommend Bulgaria and in particular Wild Echo.

This was my first visit to Bulgaria on a trip dedicated to photograph the birds and other wildlife of the region. I had a very enjoyable time and the three guides from Wild Echo were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The group were well looked after and I managed some great photos of birds which are difficult or impossible to find in the UK. The organization was excellent and I would certainly recommend it as a destination for like-minded wildlife photography enthusiasts or anyone with an interest in the natural history of Eastern Europe.
